Clifford Annual Holiday Drive 2024
It’s that time of year again! Clifford’s Annual Holiday Drive is launching today and this year, we are donating non-perishable food items to the Daily Bread Food Bank. Donations will be accepted in the lobby of 1190 Birchmount Rd from November 20th through December 20th.
This holiday season, families are relying on food banks— and food banks are relying on you. Too many people are facing impossible choices — like turning on the heat or buying groceries for the week. This holiday food drive will help Canada’s food banks take these worries and uncertainties off people’s plates.
In the last year, there were 3.49 million client visits to Toronto food banks – nearly 1 million more visits than the year prior and a 273% increase since pre-pandemic. It is unfathomable that the number of client visits to food banks is now higher than the City of Toronto’s entire population. Daily Bread Food Bank is on a mission to eliminate food insecurity, and advocate for solutions to end poverty. Together, with your support we can work to feed our communities and end hunger in our city.
Acceptable Items include:
• Shelf-stable and non-perishable foods that are long-lasting – like rice, beans, pasta, and flours.
• Canned protein like chicken and tuna.
Most Needed Items:
• Canned vegetables
• Canned Tomatoes (whole, diced, crushed)
• Oatmeal
• Canned Fruit
• Nut Butter (almond and Peanut Butter)
• Canned Fish (Tuna, Salmon, Sardines)
Clifford’s companywide goal is to collect at least 200lbs of non-perishable food and raise over $500 in cash. Cash donations will be used to purchase fresh food, including meat, dairy, vegetables, and fruits at the end of the food drive. Want to learn more about the Daily Bread Food Bank?
